Enesel Expands Dry Bulk Fleet

Enesel Group Expands Dry Bulk Fleet with Newbuilding Orders

Greek shipping company Enesel Group has announced its return to the dry bulk segment with the order of eight newbuildings at two Chinese yards.

Newbuilding Orders

The company has ordered four 63,500 dwt ultramaxes at Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry and four 181,500 dwt capesize newbuildings at Hengli Shipbuilding in Dalian.

All eight vessels are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028.

Fleet Expansion

This expansion marks a significant step in Enesel’s return to dry bulk after the company exited the segment last year through the sale of three capesizes to Hayfin Capital.

  • Enesel’s existing fleet includes tankers and containerships, including VLCCs, suezmaxes, aframax/LR2s and large container vessels from 10,600 teu to 15,440 teu.
  • The company’s fleet list now shows four capesize hulls at the yard.

Market Impact

The addition of these newbuildings is expected to increase Enesel’s presence in the dry bulk market and provide a boost to the company’s fleet capacity.
