How to Track a Eurogate Limassol Container (Free Guide 2026)

Track any Eurogate Limassol container in 30 seconds

Cyprus imports around 250,000 containers a year and the vast majority pass through Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol (CTL) — the facility with 5 ship-to-shore gantry cranes and 800m of quay on the south side of Limassol port. The digital system that coordinates data between shipping lines, the terminal, customs and agents is called Infogate.

If you are an importer, exporter or business waiting on a container, you have probably tried to get access to Infogate and hit a wall: the portal is restricted to licensed shipping agents and brokers. This guide shows you how to get the same real-time visibility, free.

Option 1 — Use Shyppy (free, recommended)

Shyppy is the free tracking tool Shoham built for Cyprus importers. It connects to 14+ ocean carriers (ZIM, MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen and feeders), pulls live container status, and layers on AIS vessel positions and AI-predicted ETAs.

How to use it

  1. Go to shyppy.cy
  2. Enter your container number (ISO 6346 format, e.g. MSCU1234567) or Master Bill of Lading
  3. Hit track — you will see:
    • Current container status and location
    • The carrier vessel with live AIS position
    • The port rotation and predicted Limassol arrival (ETA)
    • All milestones so far (gate-out origin, loaded, discharged, gate-in destination)

No login, no subscription, unlimited lookups.

Option 2 — Track directly with the carrier

Each carrier has their own public tracker. Slower if you use multiple lines, but works for single shipments:

  • ZIMzim.com/tools/track-a-shipment
  • MSC — myMSC app or mymsc.com
  • Maersk — maersk.com/tracking
  • CMA CGM — cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tracking
  • Hapag-Lloyd — hapag-lloyd.com/en/online-business/tracing

For ZIM specifically — which is the largest carrier calling Limassol — Shoham is the official Cyprus agent, so we also provide free tracking directly via our ZIM Agency page.

Option 3 — Check the Limassol Port vessel schedule

If you know the vessel name and just want to see if it has arrived, we publish the live Limassol Port schedule daily. It lists expected arrivals, current berths and departures across all terminals including Eurogate.

Common questions

What is the difference between Eurogate and Infogate?

Eurogate is the physical container terminal at Limassol Port. Infogate is the digital port community system that runs on top of it. In everyday conversation the names are used interchangeably because almost all containers arriving in Cyprus pass through both.

My container shows "discharged" on Shyppy. When can I pick it up?

Discharged means the container is off the ship and on the Eurogate yard. From here it typically takes 24–72 hours for customs clearance, depending on whether duties are pre-paid and whether any inspection is required. If you want this accelerated, Shoham's in-house customs team at Famagusta General Agency can clear most shipments in under 24 hours.

Why does the ETA keep changing?

Carrier ETAs update every 6–12 hours based on real vessel conditions — speed, weather, port congestion at previous calls, and berth availability at Limassol. Shyppy's AI-predicted ETA factors in historical arrival accuracy for each vessel and route, which is often more reliable than the carrier's own published ETA.

Can I track my container by booking reference instead of container number?

On Shyppy, yes — enter the Master BL or booking reference instead. If you only have the carrier booking and not yet the container number, most carriers will show container numbers 48–72 hours before vessel departure.

My container is stuck — who do I call?

Contact Shoham directly on +357 25 208700 or websales@shoham.com.cy. Our operations team can investigate any hold, delay or customs query on Infogate within a few hours.
