Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has announced its entry into the US non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) market. This move follows the company's successful application for a license from the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), granting ISS the authority to operate as a licensed carrier for its customers.

As an NVOCC, ISS will issue its own House Bills of Lading, consolidate shipments, and negotiate directly with ocean carriers to secure space and rates. The company will offer both full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) services across major US trade lanes, leveraging its direct relationships with container carriers.
