On July 6, 2026, Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Michalis Damianos conducted a tour of the Industrial Area of Deryneia, the Mixed Industrial Zone of Category B and Economic Activities of Frenaros, as well as the Industrial Area of Frenaros.
Purpose of the Visit
The purpose of the tour, which was made at the invitation of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEV), was to establish direct contact with the industrial activity in the area and gain a better understanding of the issues affecting businesses.

During the tour, visits and guided tours were made to industrial facilities, followed by a wide-ranging meeting with the participation of the President and members of the OEV's Industry Committee, the Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, the Deputy Mayors of Deryneia and Frenaros, the Vice President of the CEA Ammochostos, senior officials of OEV and KEVE, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ammochostos, and others.
