TMS Cardiff Gas Expands LNG Fleet with New Orders
TMS Cardiff Gas, owned by George Economou, has placed an order for two new LNG carriers at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea.
Expanding Fleet
The new order is part of the company's ongoing efforts to expand its gas shipping platform, with the latest contract valued at KRW 750.5bn ($505.6m) and delivery scheduled for June 2029.
Recent Orders
- Four 174,000 cu m LNG carriers already under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries, with deliveries expected in late 2028.
- Up to six LNG carrier orders at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China.
- Dual-fuel VLGC newbuildings at HD Hyundai for delivery in 2029.
TMS Cardiff Gas currently controls over 20 gas carriers and is building a sizeable orderbook spanning LNG carriers, VLGCs, and very large ammonia carriers.
